  4. by a backspace and then to repeat the character or
  5. to underline works well even with modern printers!
  6. Here a simple u✓_n✓_d✓_e✓_r✓_l✓_i✓_n✓_e✓_ just made with backspaces.
  7. Most printers can even output b✓bo✓ol✓ld✓d by that method.
  8. Or in combination:  u✓_✓un✓_✓nd✓_✓de✓_✓er✓_✓rl✓_✓li✓_✓in✓_✓ne✓_✓ed✓_✓d_a✓_✓an✓_✓nd✓_✓d_b✓_✓bo✓_✓ol✓_✓ld✓_✓d together!!
